Free Government Funded School Visits are run here at Blaze Farm – so come along and get involved!!
We have lots for school children to see at Blaze Farm and we like to work with the teachers beforehand so that we can include any relevant topics being worked on at school and also cater for the specific child age, ability and class size too.
We recommend that all booked in groups read our ‘Safety On The Farm’ section
With a risk assessment already completed for you – what are you waiting for!
The children are guided around our nature trail, either the basic or advanced one, and are shown inside the milking parlour and cow sheds.
They also get to feed the hens and ducks and look at all our animals here including our donkey Blaze and Shetland Pony Verity.
Rain or shine we’re able to offer an insight for the children over every aspect of farming life – from our diary unit right through to the chickens that happily wander around the yard, we give an open view on how the farm is run and ultimately where food comes from.
We are fully trained and accredited with the new Countryside Education Visits Accreditation Scheme (CEVAS) and members of the Farms for Schools and Farming and Countryside Education programmes.
Please note: All school visits need to be booked in advance.
